Homeland Security begins random armed checkpoints
In Nazi Germany, “SS” was the abbreviation for the homeland protection squads. In the U.S. government, “SS” stands for “Social Security,” although some people visiting their local Social Security office may be beginning to wonder.
PrisonPlanet.com reports, ”Residents of Leesburg, Florida were shocked to see their local Social Security office turned into a random Homeland Security checkpoint Tuesday morning, as DHS officers armed with semiautomatic rifles and accompanied by sniffer dogs checked identifications of locals.”
“With their blue and white SUVs circled around the Main Street office, at least one official was posted on the door with a semiautomatic rifle, randomly checking identifications. And other officers, some with K-9s, sifted through the building,” reports the Daily Commercial.
The activity was part of Operation Shield, an unannounced drill conducted by the DHS’ Federal Protective Service centered around “detecting the presence of unauthorized persons and potentially disruptive or dangerous activities.”
Thomas Milligan, district manager for the Social Security Administration office, said staff were not informed their offices were about to be stormed by armed FPS officers. DHS officials refused to answer questions asked by local media and left with no explanation at noon.

The problems can only be handled by those with superior intellect, such as those on Obama's staff of so called "czars". Congress must go along with these "czars", or they would not be providing the funds for their salaries.

Type two is far more dangerous: he is articulate and intelligent and operates covertly, assuring his victim that it is "really for your own good" while he slips the knife between his victim's shoulder blades, or devises an elaborate scheme to "help" the victim, which somehow doesn't work out…;at least not for the victim. Funny that you want to attribute that to Obama, because these are laws and actions that were set in place by his predecessor, Bush. And all the "czars" also started under bush. I love how people hide behind their political party and stay blind to the facts. Not saying that Obama is good either. Homeland security is an easy cover for the new national police force don't you think? They don't have to answer any of your foolish questions, peons, they ask the questions, got it? We had better wake up and quickly. The department of homeland security has got to be reined in, if not completely dismantled along with the TSA.
This is just the beginning. Since obama appointed that trans-gender ex gov from AZ to DHS, there will be more of this going on. that muslim/socialist obama will also attempt to weaken the DoD to a point that they will be no threat the UN peace keeping forces (so called) when he deploys them against the American people, which I dare him to try. If he's re-elected (and I'm almost sure he will), civil war or open anarchy may be the only way to clean up this mess. If the people invoke their 2nd admendment rights to form the militia, this government (at all levels) will be pooping in their pants. I hope it doesn't have to come to that.
Maybe these resources from Homeland Security would be better used if they were to sniff out and raid the 30+ militant Islamic training camps in several states around the country. Asking senior U.S. citizens for their ID as they visit Social Security offices is a farce meant to make it look like we are being protected from harm when the real reason is conditioning the public to accept the kind of control despotic regimes have in the past and still inflict upon their citizens around the world.
Anyone who believes we still enjoy the freedoms we had even 25 years ago just don't know…

Did anyone notice the presence of more private police in grocery stores during GW's tenure? They would check our receipts after we left the register, even after watching it be handed to us by the cashier! I got the impression the powers-that-be were looking at everyone more as prospective criminals than shopping consumers.They are acclimating the people to regimentation and quashing dissent.

Richbrat, I was in Manning SC visiting relatives over this past Thanksgiving and on Wednesday I went to the local Walmart store to get a few items. As I was waiting in line at the check out, I noticed two police officers standing near the end of the check out stations. I paid for my items, was given a receipt and started to walk towards the exit doors. The police officers stopped me and asked to see my receipt. I showed them my receipt and then they let me go to my car.
I have to disagree with your use of the words "private police". I have worked in stores over the years in the capacity of SECURITY and it is not armed and do not have any.any police powers. All that is for is to make sure there is no shoplifting going on. PERIOD!
Some grocery stores with a lot of theft do have police on duty everyday, if your targeted by the cameras as suspect, they will check your bags when you leave, Wal-mart does this also, Target also have a police or private guard on duty. Both Target & Walmart is in the papers quite often as to catching people stealing from them, only makes them add higher prices for the rest of us honest folks to cover their lost.

They demand to see your ID but when asked for ID to vote it’s racist go figure!
No one has to show them I.D. especially if it's not at a courthouse. They are infringing on local policing in violation of the 10th Amendment. I would tell them to show me their I.D. before I show them mine. If they don't like it, they can go pound salt. I will enter the building. If they assault me, I will file a Notice of Tort Claim against them and sue their asses.
Why do you make exceptions at federal courthouses? — the ones accused of violent crimes should already be in chains.
This is not as "local" as you make it out to be. A Social Security office is a federal office and one can make a serious case that federal police do not have not a right, but a duty to protect us while we are on "federal property".
It would be a better case to argue that the States need to be policing the airports in their States, not the federal TSA.
Careful, under NDAA, they will label you a 'terrorist' and cart you off to God only knows where for as long as they choose. Our Government has given themselves that power now, you know. I think it is time American's start paying attention and get ready to re-enact 1776.
Do Americans realize this violates the 4th Amendment of the 'Bill of Rights'? Randomly searching citizens or requiring ID without probable cause, violates the 4th Amendment. Which next Amendment in the 'Bill of Rights', or any part of the US Constitution, will our government violate? Obama has now appointed governmet officials without the advice and consent of Congress, a requirement of the US Constitution. Eric Holder has said why he deferred prosecution of the 'New Black Panthers' for violating the voting rights of white people, after the suit was won, that until white people have suffered as much bias and prejudice as his black people have historically, he will not prosecute black on white bias or prejudice, despite what the law says. The change Obama promised, and is delivering, is America into the likeness of Nazi Germany and the old USSR, for what is taking place now is identical to what those governments did to their people. Think, can we afford another 4 years of this and still have a viable US Constitution, for Democratically appointed liberal justices ignore their oath and rule in favor of these Constitutional violations, can we afford Obama to appoint more liberal justices who legislate from their benches?

Every search and request for ID by Homeland Security or TSA is a violation of the Fourth Amendment.
“The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”
What Homeland Security and TSA are doing is "conditioning" the American public to more and more invasive control by the government.

Yeah and the President is supposed to be a Natural born citizen to qualify for office. America citizens are supposed to be guaranteed the right to a trial by jury if arrested for what ever reason, etc. Until we resurrect our Constitution, we can only expect things to get worse.

You have to have a drivers license to drive a car, i was in the merchant marine had to have identification for that,had to have identtifation for the VA so what i'm getting at you have to have to be able to identify your self.

People may not put up much of a fuss, they are now allowing their wives and children (and themselves) to be gropped at the airport. I never dreamed American citizens would allow something like this but many have been dumbed down to acepting this as normal treatment.

Guys this is a great opportunity here. Set up some folks who are able and willing. When one of these things is set go up and start barking statements in German giving the Nazi salute say ya mine papers, do a lot of goose stepping (sort of a Monty Python skit and above all have tow or three concealed videographers taking pics the whole time, with sound of course.
Put the stuff on YouTube and send it to every Tea Party group for distribution and off course send to your elected bunch of thieves. Maybe we can shame them back into hiding.
Also random photographing of the agents would create a good picture list/data base of the faceless ones. This may prove to be very good intell later on.
If I were a Mexican citizen here without my papers I could complain about being asked for my papers; it would be discrimination, right? But if I am a legal citizen of this country I need to carry my papers with me and show proof of my citizenship? Something is wrong here, and I am to believe American citizens are doing this to American citizens? Do we have a country within a country? What some people will do for the love of money…………………………..a weekly wage.

I have been reading for some period of time about the government edging closer and closer into disregarding the constitution but I believed it was just the far right wing looking to put meaning into things that weren't there. But I was wrong. They weren't mistaken. Constitutional freedoms are under attack and this current foray into a S/S office. It proves that ,although it was just a drill,
they will go after US citizens. Our only prayer is to organize-organize- organize. The tea party showed the power of the ordinary US citizen. We must join together and recruit everyone by showing them what the hell is happening to our country.
