Coveted SC endorsement to go to Ron Paul
A South Carolina newspaper reported last fall how GOP hopefuls were lining up to earn the endorsement of Tom Davis—an State Senator hugely influential for his courage and integrity as a TEA-party champion. After meeting with several of the candidates privately, Davis’ endorsement is expected to come Sunday for . . . Ron Paul.

A leading South Carolina conservative and Tea Party champion, State Senator Tom Davis, will endorse Ron Paul Sunday, a South Carolina Republican consultant close to Davis told BuzzFeed.
Davis, former Governor Mark Sanford’s former chief-of-staff, has been a vocal critic of government action and of economic development spending backed by other politicians of both parties.
“Senator Tom Davis’ fiscal conservative credentials are outstanding,” South Caroline GOP executive director Matt Moore told the leading state political website, FITSNews, recently. “Any candidate would do well to gain his endorsement.”
Rick Santorum himself thought just as highly of Davis’ endorsement, as he eyed it last August:
“To get an endorsement from someone like Tom Davis is a big deal,” said former U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum, who announced a White House bid in June. “It would speak volumes to folks and make them take notice and give us a look.”
Despite spending much less than Gingrich, Romney, and Santorum on SC campaign ads, Paul has seen a recent—and some have thought unlikely–surge in SC polls.
Davis’ endorsement will likely add “volumes” to that momentum.

I agree-Ron Paul is the best candidate choice we have right now. i am praying that he can do it-one thing is for sure-we all need to get behind ONE candidate in order to defeat Obama, otherwise we'll be screwed for many years to come. We need to rid Congress and the Senate of Nazi leftist scum like Pelosi, Schumer, reid, Feinstein, and Barbara Boxer and Pelosi, and EVERY SINGLE POLITICIAN WHO IS ANTI -GUN RIGHTS AS WELL!

If Ron Paul's foreign policy is such a disaster, then why does he receive more contributions from active duty military than all the other GOP candidates combined? Ron Paul's foreign policy is misunderstood at best and distorted by his opponents who don't want to have a real discussion about our foreign policy. What is a disaster is our current foreign policy – not only can we not afford it and it is losing us credibility and respect in the world, but it is very unconstitutional. What's the problem with following the Constitution and if there is a need for war to have Congress declare it?
Ron Paul has the American peoples best interests in mind, Thank you Senator Davis! The American people are ready for Peace, our military is over extended, our economy is near colapse, and good people like Senator Davis are leading the way for more to follow in support of Dr. Paul. Our childrens future depends upon this elecition, will they grow up in a Socialist Police State or enjoy the Liberty and Prosperity of a Free America, like the founders intended.
Paul is not the one we need. Look at him, wants to legalize drugs, doesn't care if Iran has a bomb, thinks that if we leave others alone they will be nice to us and do the same, has some past of being a racist, stands for isolationism, he has some good ideas, but he is as far right as Obama is left, either way we don't need it. If he wants to endorse someone that can do the job, beat Obama at his own game, and then get this nation going again, then vote Newt. Use the minds God gave you, wake up and think, our future depends on it.
Drugs – Wants the Feds to treat it the same way they do alcohol – leave it to the States
Iran having the bomb – Cares at least as much as the Presidents since Truman who have let 10 countries get it
Do onto others as you would have them do onto us – Yeh, a real losing strategy
Racist past – Ron Paul is solidly against the racism of the set-asides for racial groups in the Civil Rights Laws.
Isolationist – Not against Canada and Mexico that I can tell, so what gives?
Has some good ideas – agreed he has fantasic ideas

I am awake, I do think, and I think that you are mistaken. Dr. Paul does not want to legalize drugs, the Federal Government lacks the authority to make drugs "illegal". That authority belongs solely to the States, read your Constitution. Non-Interventionism is NOT Isolationism, completely different. Dr. Paul simply wants to USE the 12,000 Diplomats that we have. As it should be. Every Representative and other elected official that takes and oath to defend and uphold our Constitution should put our Nation before themselves. It is sad when they are seen as 'rare'. I guess the truth ain't always pretty. In this case though we have the 'real deal' endorsing the 'real deal'! Mandated and Insurance Law for inside trading and payouts from Drug Company's.He had his staff before he left office as Governor DELETE FEDERAL FILES before he left office and replaced computers with government funds. I am so glad that some people are not allowing party affiliation to sway their vote. I honestly think the parties were created to keep this Nation divided. I love your analogy. I heard it somewhere else, and have been repeating it as, "Calling Ron Paul an isolationist is like calling your neighbor a hermit because he doesn't come over to your house to smash your windows, beat your kids, shoot your dog and then urinate on its corpse."

I am really pleased to see this. I am 54 yrs young, and I have studied history extesively.
Our country has gone so far off the rails, that if we don't make a move now to avert the
situation we find ourselves in, we will be looking back on this election and wishing we had paid more attention.
I urge anyone who is on the fence about Ron Paul to get on you tube and listen to some of his speeches in Congress.
He is no fool. He has stood up to some of the most entrenched corruption in history.
He truly will restore this Country to Prosperity and Freedom.

Davis is nuts. This makes me lose faith in the Tea Party, if many of them follow suit. Ron Paul is only conservative fiscally. All of the candidates are conservative fiscally. He will put this nation in extreme danger. What in the world are people thinking? Ron Paul is clueless on the middle east situation and how to handle it, and dangerously clueless on Iran. Rick Santorum is the best candidate we have. I guess loosened restrictions on drugs and porn must be a real strong draw..
It may interest you to know that the Tea Party began in 2008 as a grassroots support effort of Ron Paul's Presidential campaign. So, being true to historical roots, to be a Tea Partier is to be a Ron Paul supporter.
