Napolitano’s Homeland Security department claims to ramp up efforts at identifying potential terrorists, a new report reveals, yet ignores the fact that the Secretary has hired at least one Muslim radical and given him secret security clearance to US intelligence.
Jim Kouri for Examiner.com writes,
Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano’s latest contribution this week to the protection of Americans appears to ignore the most deadly and destructive groups on the planet — Islamic terrorists — say security and law enforcement experts.
A Department of Homeland Security report released on February 2 compares terrorism to “ordinary crime” in metropolitan U.S. cities and omits the radical Islamic factor, instead finding “significant variability in the ideologies motivating terrorist attacks across decades.”
Pamela Geller of the blog Atlas Shrugs writes,
Back in October 2010 I warned of the consequences of naming a stealth jihadist with ties to Islamic subversives whose stated goal is “eliminating and destroying Western civilization from within and sabatoaging its miserable house.” More here …
Secretary Napolitano named the devout Muslim Mohamed Elibiary to the Homeland Security Advisory Council (Department of Homeland Security).
The Texas Department of Public Safety now says that Homeland Security Advisory Council member Mohamed Elibiary may have been given access to a sensitive database of state and local intelligence reports, and then allegedly shopped some of those materials to a media outlet. Who else is the devout Elibiary shopping sensitive intel to?
Mohamed Elibiary was one of the speakers at a December 2004 conference in Dallas entitled “A Tribute to the Great Islamic Visionary,” the Ayatollah Khomeini, leader of Iran and the violent Muslim global revolution to install a universal caliphate. When Rod Dreher of the Dallas Morning News called him on this, he threatened Dreher, telling him: “Expect someone to put a banana in your exhaust pipe.”
Napolitano was questioned under oath by Texas Congressman Louie Gohmert and she admitted Elibiary was sworn in under her and had security clearance. She said she did not know that he he accessed the State and Local Intelligence Community database and shopped information he took from it to national media outlets, allegedly in an effort to support the Obama administration (according to Gohmert). Kouri continues,
In addition, on January 17 Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano, Attorney General Eric Holder and Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism John Brennan met with senior state, local and tribal law enforcement officials to discuss the President Barack Obama’s Strategic Implementation Plan for Empowering Local Partners to Prevent Violent Extremism in the United States.
What surprised many of the attendees was the fact that not once did Napolitano mention Islamic extremism or Muslim terrorists. Many of the police commanders attending found the presentation to be a ”vague and politically correct exercise.”
